THE CONCEPTUAL APPROACH
Shana Ryan and Leslie Willis have designed a personalized approached to the HR consulting arena by creating Conceptual HR Solutions. Within the corporate business structure, Shana and Leslie had sole oversight of all HR functions for over 700 employees, across 43 states for nearly 5 years. Once the business sold to private investors, Shana and Leslie decided to use their combined experience of over 25 years in Human Resources and joined forces in creating Conceptual HR Solutions.
Our vision is to partner with new and existing small business owners in a complicated and heavily regulated HR world and ensure they are able to grow their business to its full potential.
MEET THE TEAM
Shana Ryan
CEO
Shana has been in the Human Resource field for over 20 years in all roles of management.
She completed her BAS in Supervision and Management and is a Certified Florida Notary Public.
In June of 2017 she launched Conceptual HR in order to help small businesses with their HR needs while continuing to work from her home office. She hopes to employee several parents in the future that wish to have more of a work/life balance.
In addition to maintaining the daily functions of Conceptual HR, Shana stays busy with her husband and three children by providing them unlimited transportation to their multiple sporting and social events at no charge.
Additionally she volunteers for her neighborhood social committee and her children’s school. From the professional side of things, Shana is serves on the SBDC Advisory Council, is on the Strategic Partnership Committee for the Jacksonville Business Professionals, is an Ambassador for the Ponte Vedra Division of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce and the link in Nocatee. She is also a WBO Board member and a Co-Chair for the WBO Membership Committee. Furthermore, Shana is graduate of JaxBridges through the Jax Chamber and the Jim Moran Institute through Florida State University.
Leslie has been in the Human Resource field for 15 years in all roles of management. She completed her BA in Business Management with a specialization in Communications from the University of Phoenix and has a Professional in Human Resources Certification from DePaul University.
Leslie and her husband, Powell, own Cousin Willie’s Smokehouse (BBQ restaurant) in Baldwin, Florida.
As a small business owner, Leslie sympathizes and understands the personal needs and lack of time for new business owners.
Leslie and Powell have 1 son, Anderson who loves to "help" in the restaurant and keeps them on their toes. Anderson is also an avid baseball player so most days you can find Leslie and Powell on the baseball field as Leslie serves on the board and Powell is a coach.

Alexis (Alex) joined the Conceptual HR Team in August of 2020. She holds her Associates Degree in Psychology from Florida State College at Jacksonville. For several years prior to joining our team, Alex oversaw the HR Department for a local small business. Alex also manages all our Social Media sites and helps with marketing.
Alex is extremely passionate about supporting small businesses by understanding business needs from an HR perspective. In addition to working for Conceptual HR, Alex is a stay-at-home mom with her two kids, Alice and Ethan.
Alexis Langmaid

GinNeal is a passionate human resources professional who has the ability and desire to use her expertise to solve business and leadership challenges. With 20 years of human resources experience in the private and public sectors, there isn't much she hasn't seen.
She joined the Conceptual HR Team in August of 2022 and using her HR expertise to grow the the Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and Destin areas.
GinNeal earned her Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University and Bachelor's Degree in Management from Florida State University.
She is also a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Merideth joined the Conceptual HR team in December 2022. She had been an auditor and a bookkeeper for over 11 years before joining the United States Army. During her time in service, she moved quickly through the ranks and became nationally certified in X-ray and Computed Technology R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT).
After her time ended in the Army in 2018, Merideth became a stay at home mom to her 3 kids: 1 daughter and 2 identical twin boys. During her limited off time, Merideth has her own licensed home bakery in Alabama.

Ryan became a member of the Conceptual HR Team in October of 2023. Before that, for a span of 15 years, she thrived as a successful Real Estate Broker. Her deep understanding of the real estate market, coupled with her commitment to helping clients find their dream homes, has left an indelible mark on her professional journey. In January 2020, Ryan decided to embark on a new career path in the mortgage industry, where she has excelled as a loan originator. Her keen financial acumen and commitment to helping individuals secure their homes have made her a trusted resource in the field.
In her spare time, Ryan cherishes moments spent with her four daughters, creating lasting memories and building strong bonds. Her love for adventure shines through her passion for travel, kayaking, and everything beach-related. Ryan also actively engages in school volunteering & fundraising initiatives for her daughter’s school.

Maureen joined the Conceptual HR Team in March of 2024. With a rich background in HR across diverse industries, she stands out as a seasoned professional. Her expertise in HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development was instrumental in navigating sectors from media to financial services.
Maureen is known for shaping company cultures and driving impactful change. Her collaborative and results-driven approach fosters strong relationships with employees and management, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
In addition to her professional achievements, Maureen prioritizes giving back to the community. With a focus on supporting underserved children, she currently volunteers as a Florida Guardian Ad Litem in Saint Johns County, continuing to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need.
