What You’ll Do:

As our Payroll/HR Coordinator, you’ll play a critical support role for our HR Advisors and client businesses. You’ll help keep HR and payroll operations running smoothly by taking ownership of recurring tasks, ensuring accuracy in every detail, and being a proactive communicator. This is a flexible, fully remote position ideal for someone highly organized, assertive, and responsive—especially when juggling multiple clients and systems.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Sending welcome emails and managing initial communications

  • Processing payroll, ensuring deductions and contributions are accurate

  • Managing and tracking PTO balances

  • Onboarding new employees into various payroll and HR systems

  • Following internal workflows and using project management tools to ensure deadlines are met

  • Maintaining and updating employee records

  • Assisting with tax account setup (SUTA, SIT, local) for client companies

  • Setting up new clients in various payroll platforms

  • Uploading and submitting reports, including:

    • 401(k) contributions

    • Workers’ compensation documentation

    • Child support payments

  • Using Microsoft Office applications effectively, particularly:

    • SharePoint for document management and team collaboration

    • Excel for data tracking and reporting

    • Outlook for professional communication and calendar management

  • Following up with clients to gather missing or incomplete information in a timely manner

    • Repeated follow-ups may be necessary, and you must be comfortable doing so

    • You’ll be expected to follow up assertively and professionally, maintaining a balance between persistence and tact

 

You’ll Excel in This Role If You:

  • Love checklists, systems, and getting things done right the first time

  • Can manage multiple client accounts without losing track of the details

  • Communicate clearly and confidently, especially in writing

  • Are tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software platforms—and even teaching others when needed

  • Know how to professionally push for what’s needed without overstepping

  • Thrive in a collaborative environment with a healthy mix of autonomy

  • Have experience with payroll platforms such as Paycor, Gusto, Paylocity, ADP, Patriot, CoAdvantage (a big plus!)

Starting Pay:

$45K per year plus bonus (when eligible)
